Hello

My journey began on August 13, 2019 while playing baseball where I ended up deciding a tad to late to slide into second base. Unfortunately the bases were not release ones so my toes rammed full force into the very stationary object and in the process I injured my left ankle/foot. At the time I believed to just have sprained my ankle really bad and went along the normal routine of taking a couple days off to rest, began at home physio and returned to work that week Friday. The following two weeks I continued to go to work but unfortunately was not getting better and I continued to see an increase in symptoms of my injury that left me using crutches. It was at this point we could tell there was a bigger issue, over the next 6 months I would do all the testing to come to a final diagnosis of CRPS type 2 with grade 2 ankle sprain, bruising of bones and other fun medical stuff. I have been using crutches ever since and continue to work hard towards remission as there currently is no cure for CRPS. I am hoping that I can bring more awareness to this diagnosis also nicknamed "the suicide disease" and help others who are going through a similar situation.
